I’ve been working on getting my health in a better place, and got serious in October 2025.

I am doing carnivore, with a focus on lower (but not low) protein and high fat (about 75% of calories from fat.)

I started tracking what I eat on December 1.

Why? You can’t improve what you don’t track.

I’ve proven to myself that you CAN indeed teach an old dog new tricks!

I started taking Lugol’s iodine (2%), and as of Christmas Eve, I also started taking Methylene Blue, also 2%.

I track my blood glucose and ketones, using a meter. Within the last week or so, I started to think sweet-tasting things might be hindering my progress. I broke up with sugar-free sodas and sugar-free energy drinks.

Literally right after that, I started losing more weight. I also looked at my macros in Carb Manager and had an epiphany. My uptick in fat loss happened when my fat intake hit 75% or higher.

Pork belly bites and beef fat trimmings for the win!!

This is enough for now, but it’s enough to get me excited and keep me on track.
